• Mobile number (OTP login), business name, business type
• Business address, city, GST number (optional)
• Contact person name and designation
• Job postings, application history

Automatically collected:

• IP address, browser type, device type
• Pages visited, time spent, referral source

We use your information to:

• Authenticate your identity via OTP and manage your account
• Match candidates with relevant job opportunities
• Allow employers to search and view candidate profiles
• Facilitate the privacy-first contact unlock mechanism
• Process subscription payments via Razorpay
• Send SMS/email notifications about applications and account activity
• Improve platform features, perform analytics, and prevent fraud
• Comply with legal obligations under Indian law

Local Job Sathi is built on a privacy-first principle. Your mobile number and personal contact details are never shared with any employer without your explicit approval.

When an employer wishes to contact you:

1. The employer sends a "Contact Request" using their subscription credits
2. You receive a notification and can Accept or Reject the request
3. Only if you Accept, your contact details are shared

Rejecting a contact request does not affect your profile visibility or job applications.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We may share data only in these cases:

• Razorpay: Payment processing for subscriptions. Governed by Razorpay's privacy policy.
• SMS Provider: Your mobile number is used solely to deliver OTPs and notifications.
• Legal Requirement: If required by Indian law, court order, or government authority.
• Business Transfer: In case of merger or acquisition, user data may be transferred with prior notice.

• Active account data is retained as long as your account is active.
• If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except data required for legal compliance.
• Job application records may be retained for up to 12 months for dispute resolution purposes.
• Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold
• Correction: Update incorrect or outdated information from your profile settings
• Erasure: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Nomination: Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
